Roland Dale ThomasPublished Wednesday, February 19, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesRoland Dale Thomas, 78, of Gurdon died Wednesday, February 12, 1997. He was a trainman for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad and a member of First United Methodist Church of Gurdon. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katy Corine Karr. Survivors include his wife, Freda Thomas of Gurdon; two sons, John A. Thomas and Richard Thomas, both of Gurdon; a daughter, Mary Karr of Fayetteville; a brother, Harry Thomas of Gurdon; a sister, Miriam Eby of Curtis; and two grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday, February 14, at Center Ridge Cemetery with Revs. Loyd Perry and David Moseley officiating. Arrangements were by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
