James Otis Ledbetter

James Otis Ledbetter, 76, of Summerville, S.C., formerly of Prescott, died Friday, February 21, 1997, at Summerville.

He was the son of the late J.C. and Mae Cottingham Ledbetter, a retired government employee, an army veteran of World War II stationed in Alaska, and a 1939 graduate of Prescott High School. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dennis, Dale, Darius and Wallace Ledbetter.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ledbetter of the home; one son, Gary Ledbetter of Summerville; two daughters, Nancy and Diane of Summerville; one brother, Ellis Ledbetter of Prescott; and seven grandchildren.

Services and burial were held in Summerville, S.C.
