ior talent, they have been predicting '97 to be their year.

The Wolves, though, will also have to be wary of Fordyce. It doesn't matter what the sport is, when the Redbugs and Wolves tangle, sparks fly.

This year, however, there are two unknowns -- Bismarck and Fountain Lake. Crow said his scouting reports show them to have competitive teams with good summer league programs.

And the non-conference slate for Prescott won't be easy either. The Wolves have scheduled Nevada twice, will lock horns with Stamps, Hope, Hot Springs Lakeside, Blevins, Spring Hill and Delight.

They are scheduled to play in the Gurdon Classic again this year. This tourney is scheduled for March 3, 4 and 6.

Prescott's first home game will be Friday, March 7, a double-header against the Nevada BlueJays.

Crow said the week of March 17-22 will be the First Annual Prescott Classic if everything goes well.

Regardless, the Wolves have the potential to be forces on the diamond for the '97 season, and could make a return trip to the state playoffs as well.
