Delta Brigade Visits; Funds Raised, GivenPublished Wednesday, August 4, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesArkansas' Drum and Bugle Corps has traveled through Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma this summer performing in parades and taking part in Drum Corps Midwest and Drum Corps International competitions. After spending a week in day camp at Gurdon High School, Delta Brigade members showed some of what they had been learning at a hamburger supper given by the Gurdon Rotary Club to raise funds. Due to an accident that took the lives of two leaders, the corps did not perform in four shows previously scheduled for this week. The corps will join together next week to be present at a ceremony given in memory of Sam Gossoo and Travis Nail during world finals in Madison, Wisc.
