Prescott Wolverettes Win District (cont)BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, February 26, 1997 in the Nevada County Picayune Wolverettes were nine of 20 from the line, while the Lady Leopards connected on 12 of 25 at the stripe. Julie Tollett led De Queen with 14, while Brooke Parson scored 12. REGIONAL TOURNEY With the district championship under their belt, the Wolverettes are the No. 1 seed from the 7AA in the regional tourney, which will be held in Fordyce starting today. The top four finishers in the regional tourney will make the trip to Clarksville for the opening round of the state contest. Bismarck and McGehee will open the regional battle today at 4 p.m., with Drew Central and De Queen slated to tip off at 7 o'clock. Nashville and Star City take center court Thursday at 4 p.m., with the Wolverettes tangling with Dermott's Lady Rams at 7. The winners of Wednesday's games play at 4 p.m. Friday, while Thursday's victors take to the hardwood at 7 o'clock Friday. The title game will be played Saturday night at 7.
