Carrie Mae MorrisPublished Wednesday, March 5, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneCarrie Mae Morris, 96, of Little Rock, formerly of Prescott, died Wednesday, February 26, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born October 31, 1900, in Nevada County, she was the daughter of Mark Henry and Nancy Jane Carlton McCain. She was a housewife and mother, a member of Geyer Springs Church of Christ and the widow of Carl Morris. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Morris. Survivors include one daughter, Mildred Smith of Little Rock; three brothers, Bowie McCain of Broken Bow, Okla., Julian McCain of Vista, Calif., and Red McCain of Prescott; two sisters, Lois Grimes of Prescott and Janada Bloomfield of Arkadelphia; her stepmother, Clara McCain of Prescott; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Services were held Friday, February 28, at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Harley Sisson, Gene Cloer and Wendell Heffington officiating.
