SSA Visits To Stop

Published Wednesday, March 5, 1997 in the Gurdon Times

The Hot Springs social security office will no longer make scheduled bi-monthly visits to Arkadelphia and Malvern effective March 1.

According to Joe Harrison, district manager, local residents will not experience any decline in service.

"Although we will not be making regular visits to the area, residents may continue to receive services from social security by calling the Hot Springs office at 1-501-624-0430 or by using the toll free number at 1-800-772-1213," he said.

"The Hot Springs social security office plans to install intelligent workstation computers for its employees by July 1997. This addition is expected to increase our claims taking capabilities," Harrison said.

Nearly all business with social security may be conducted by telephone. Telephone service is available to suit your timetable.

Call 1-800-772-1213 for general information or to make an appointment with a social security representative.
