Elbert Alexander KingPublished Wednesday, March 12, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneElbert Alexander King, 76, of Texarkana, formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, March 6, 1997, in a Texarkana hospital. Born June 1, 1920, in McCaskill, he was a retired farmer and concrete contractor, a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Ray King. Survivors include his wife, Hazel M. King of Texarkana, Ark.; four daughters, Dorothy M. Franks of Magnolia, Patsy Bearden of Texarkana, Mary Ann Suggitt of Nash, Texas, and Sandra Kay Bean of Texarkana, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial were held Monday, March 10, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Prescott with Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Services were under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
