NHS Students Have A Clew

Published Wednesday, March 12, 1997 in the Nevada County Picayune

Seven sophomores from Nevada High School recently attended a Community Leadership Workshop (CLEW) held at Gurdon High School.

The workshop, sponsored by the General Federation of Women's Clubs in Gurdon and Texarkana, was intended to give the participants a realistic look at what makes the American incentive system work.

Students from several schools in southwest Arkansas heard panelists speak on such topics as, `What the Public Wants and Needs to Know' and `Legacy of America.'

Students attending from Nevada were Robin Rudd, Chasity Reeves, Kristi Powell, Regina Gulley, Tamla Allen, Matt Herring and Justin House.

Hardy Herrington, high school principal, and Naomi Butler, high school counselor, accompanied the group.
