Ida Mae Godwin

Ida Mae Ammons Godwin, 94, of Prescott died Saturday, March 15, 1997, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Prescott.

Born April 11, 1902, in Nevada County, she was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church. She was the widow of Dallas Godwin.

Survivors include three sons, Doyle Ammons of Osceola, Lloyd Ammons of Mulberry, Fla., and Dallas Ammons of West Memphis; two stepsons, J.T. Godwin and Thomas J. Godwin, both of Prescott; one stepdaughter, Sarah Pearson of Prescott; two brothers, Roy Ed King of Prescott and Raymond King of Marshall, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchidlren; and one great great grandchild.

Services were held Tuesday, March 18, at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Rev. Tom Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluff City under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
