May Earns Scholarship To Southern Arkansas UniversityPublished Wednesday, March 19, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesJerusha L. May, a senior at Sparkman High School, has been awarded an Alumni Scholarship to Southern Arkansas University ingnolia. The scholarship has a four-year value of over $7,000 and includes resident tuition as a full-time student. May is a member of Future Farmers of America, Future Homemakers of America, the Spanish Club, Eternally Grateful (youth choir), and the Dolphins (school choir). She also served as head of the senior fundraising committee, as 4-H president, and a member of the annual staff. May plans to major in management. She is the daughter of Joe and Emma May of Sparkman.
