Dear Editor:

This is to the good neighbors of Center Ridge.

"Love your neighbor as your self." Luke 10:27.

A man, Tim Dickerson, found me beside the road wounded, bleeding and dirty (after being injured in the March 1 tornado). He set me in his car and brought me to his mother, Cornelius Dickerson, who took me into her home. She provided a bath and gave me her clothes to wear.

Another neighbor, Jewel Smithpeters, came and bandaged my wounds. Then these good neighbors took me to find my daughter and grandson. After finding them, they drove me to the hospital. Jewel Smithpeters walked the last mile to the hospital when we were blocked in traffic. Cornelius Dickerson stayed at the hospital entrance and when she learned I was being evacuated to another hospital in another city she found my brother and told him where I was. Then returned to my daughter and told her where I had been sent.

That night as our family was together and safe we thanked God for the good neighbors of Center Ridge.
