Army Staff Sgt. David E. Rodgers has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal.

The medal is awarded to soldiers for meritorious service, acts of courage, or other outstanding accomplishments.

Rodgers is a military police squad leader with the 191st Ordnance Battalion in Miesau, Germany.

He is the son of Richard E. and Patricia O. Rodgers of 900 Meredith, Pine Bluff.

His wife, Lanna, is the daughter of Curtis Copeland of 1001 Sticky Road in Gurdon and Gail Neagle of 120 E. Dodson in Arkadelphia.
