Easter Program Held

The annual Easter program at Gurdon's First United Methodist Church was presented on Sunday, March 23, during the morning worship service.

The United Methodist Kids began the service by waving the palms and singing several songs. The Chancel Choir presented the Easter musical, `Amazing Love,' by Russell Mauldin and Joel Lindsey.

Following the service, a fellowship meal was enjoyed by all. The children were then treated to an Easter egg hunt.

United Methodist Kids members included Josh Babineaux, Hollee Hughes, Morgan Dillard, Krissi Davies, Jessie Livingston, Taylor Pace, Josh Jordan, Sydney Goza, Kirby Sandage, Natalie Tarpley, Allison Anderson, Lezlee White, Amber Goza, Phillip Brady, Sara Boyce, Tori Morehead, Carolanne Duke, Matt Brady, Britta Halliday, Corey Simpson and Derrick Puckett.

Chancel members are Joyce Taylor, Judy Sanders, Marsha Porcelli, Mary Ann Newton, Eric Hittenrauch, Sandra Blanton, Mary Lou Stroud, Gladys Sherman, Lewis Jordan, Daryl Potratz, Martha Thomas, LaDawne Simpson, Patricia Childers, Paul Barringer, Hal Sanders and Billy Tarpley.

Solos for the performance were rendered by Judy Sanders and Paul Barringer. Kay Downey provided the narration and Billie Jean Miller served as accompanist. Jerry Don Childers directed the presentation.
