Awards were presented at the conclusion of ABA for the best student company performance in several categories, including business planning, financial analysis, web page design, TV commercial production and a formal presentation to the ABA Board of Directors. Yarbrough's team placed first in TV commercial production and second in financial analysis. Each of Arkansas' 325 high schools are invited to nominate students for ABA. Students are chosen based on strong personal interest in attending, academic qualifications, geographic diversity and recommendations from counselors and teachers. Amanda Cooley, Nevada High School business teacher, nominated Yarbrough. Yarbrough is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don E. Yarbrough of Rosston.
