Volunteer Award Set

Individuals and groups providing volunteer services to older Arkansans will be recognized by the presentation of Eldercare Volunteer Corps Awards on October 22.

The goal of the awards is to expand volunteer services to the elderly through recognition and appreciation of individuals and groups currently volunteering their time.

These annual awards are presented by the Aging Services Volunteer Advisory Council at the Arkansas Aging Conference. Criteria and nomination forms may be obtained from the Area Agency on Aging by calling 1-800-272-2127 or 234-7410. Deadline for nominations is August 15.

Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
