Ministerial Alliance Sets Easter ServicesPublished Wednesday, March 26, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Prescott Ministerial Alliance will sponsor community services for everyone again this year for Easter. "The purpose of the services is to bring more awareness to what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross for our sins," a news release stated. The schedule for these services are 12:00 noon until 12:50 p.m. There will be singing and a devotion from 12:00 until 12:20, then the host church will provide soup and sandwiches for the meal. "Everyone is welcome to come and it will be a great opportunity for you to visit with your neighbors that you haven't seen in some time," the release said. Following are the locations for the services and the speakers: Cothran Chapel, Wednesday, March 26, Bro. Dale Diffee; First Baptist Church, Thursday, March 27, Bro. Joe Battle; and Mt. Zion, Friday, March 28, Bro. Milton Cowling. Easter sunrise services will be held at Suckles Lake at 6:30 a.m. The dress for the services is casual so that everyone can dress comfortably according to the weather. Coffee and doughnuts will be served after the service. An offering will be taken to help raise money for the Ministerial Alliance to help people in need who are passing through our community.
