Cohen C. OtwellPublished Wednesday, April 2, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneCohen C. Otwell, 80, of Springhill, La., formerly of Prescott, died Monday, March 31, 1997, at Lagniappe Hospital in Shreveport, La. Born February 9, 1917, in Cale, he was the son of V.B. and Emma Higginbotham Otwell. He was a retired jeweler and a member of First Baptist Church of Magnolia. Survivors include Opal Otwell of Little Rock; one son, Cohen R. Otwell of Sarepta, La.; one daughter, Dee Miller of Little Rock; two sisters, Gertie Arrington of Little Rock and Zettie Phillips of Texarkana, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Services are being held today, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Andy Harris officiating.
