R.C. BlockPublished Wednesday, April 2, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneR.C. Block, 77, of Prescott died Saturday, March 29, 1997, in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born in Nevada County on August 10, 1919, he was the son of John and Susie Spence Block. Retired from Potlatch, he was a Baptist and a navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Queen Ester Block of Prescott; six sons, Dan Louis Block of Rockford, Ill., Robert Block Jr. and Thomas Block both of Troy, Ohio, Ricky Block and Freddy Block of Prescott and Kenneth Block of Hope; five daughters, Opal Hall, Gladys Block, Estelle Block and May Bell Samuel of Prescott and Carolyn Bozman of Jacksonville; one brother, Melvin Block of Troy, Ohio; three sisters, Mary Sue Hampton of Crossett and Sodonia McGill and Joyce Helen Owens of Los Angeles, Calif. Services will be held Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Munn's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Hampton officiating.
