Johnny `C.J.' ChildersPublished Wednesday, April 2, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohnny `C.J.' Childers, 51, of Prescott died Sunday, March 30, 1997. Born November 21, 1945, in Nevada County, he was the son of Cegel John and Christine Garrett Childers. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Central Baptist Church in Prescott. Survivors include his mother, Christine Garrett Childers of Prescott; two stepsons, Michael Pearce and Anthony Pearce of Hope; and one sister, Kaye Wesson of Prescott. Services were held Tuesday, April 1, at Central Baptist Church in Prescott with Rev. Tom Mitchell officataing.
