Rabies Clinic Planned

Published Wednesday, April 9, 1997 in the Gurdon Times

Local veterinarians, the Clark County Extension Service and the Clark County Health Department are sponsoring a series of rabies clinic throughout Clark County later this month.

The cost per vaccination will be $5. No pets under three months of age can be vaccinated against rabies.

State law requires dogs and cats be vaccinated annually against rabies. Everyone can have their pets and hunting dogs vaccinated to protect families, friends, livestock and other pets.

Rabies can occur any time of year as there is no time when rabies is more prevalent. Dogs and cats on farms are more likely to be exposed to rabies as they are more likely to be in contact with rabied animals, especially skunks.
