Dempsey `D.C.' HortonPublished Wednesday, April 9, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneDempsey Clyde `D.C.' Horton, 79, of Chandler, Texas, formerly of Nevada County, died Thursday, April 3, 1997, in a Chandler hospital. Born April 14, 1917, in Nevada County, he was a member of Westlake Baptist Church in Chandler, and was a retired self-employed businessman. Survivors include his wife, Irene Horton of Chandler; one son, Charles Horton of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Thelma Holland of Booneville; and two grandsons. Services were held Saturday, April 5, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel West in Tyler, Texas, with Bro. Bob Sexton, Bro. McBride and Chris Horton officiating.
