Blevins Students 'Adapt'Published Wednesday, April 9, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneBlevins High School has announced the addition of 25 new members to ADAPT (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention by Teens). This peer tutoring group is made up of high school students who go once a week to the elementary classrooms and give lessons on the importance of avoiding all types of drugs, including alcohol and tobacco. Students are chosen by the faculty based on their ability to be a good leader and role model. The new members are listed below by grade. Seventh grade: Wesley Ratcliff, Teresa Riley, Eric Segovis, Kim William and Hannah Wood;. Eighth grade: Jennifer Arnold, Amber Gregory, Justin Gregory, Kim Harvell, Kayla Jordan and Lacey Myers. Ninth grade: Reida Hill, Brittany Hinton, Chopper Moore, Geoff Salisbury, Nicole Stuart, Elizabeth Torres and Mandy West. Tenth grade: Jeremy Bailey, Crystal Bobo, Jason Johnson, Latitia Madlock and Jeff Wannamaker. Eleventh grade: Jeanice Lawler and Michael Pendergraft.
