Minister's Anniversary Planned

On Sunday, April 13, Bro. Ray Bowman will be honored for 40 years in the ministry. Bro. Ray preached his first message on the first Sunday in April, 1957. Since that time he has pastored churches in Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas. He has been pastor of Bodcaw Baptist Church in Bodcaw for the past two years.

He is married to the former Nettie Ann Brown, daughter of the late Allison and Lorene Brown. Bro. Brown was a former pastor of Bodcaw Baptist Church. Bro. Ray and Mrs. Nettie are the parents of three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The services will begin at Bodcaw Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m., with the morning message to be brought by Bro. A.D. Livingston. Lunch will be served at the noon hour and a program will be presented in the afternoon. Following the afternoon service, there will be a reception. Everyone is invited to attend. There will be no night services on that day.
