A double by Cowling was wasted when he was called out for missing first base.

The Scrapper offense exploded in the fourth, firing its last blast, with four runs.

C. Reed opened with a homer, the first allowed by Cowling this season. Rowland, Davis and Campbell singled, with Rowland scoring.

D. Reed walked and McGill singled to bring Davis and Campbell across.

Johnston doubled to start the fourth for Prescott, but the Wolves were unable to take advantage of this and didn't score in the frame.

Nashville managed to get runners on second and third following a missed third strike and error, followed by a sacrifice bunt.

But Cowling bore down, fanning Davis for out two, and getting Campbell to ground out and quell the threat.

The big lumber came out for the Wolves in their portion of the inning, as they scored five times.

Formby started by reaching on an error. Cowling doubled and Jones walked to load the bases.

Stockton laid down a suicide squeeze to score Formby and was safe at first to keep the bags packed.

Johnston doubled in Cowling and Jones, with Yates bringing Stockton in with a sacrifice fly.

Williams and Webb go down on strikes, but Webb reached first when the catcher missed strike three. This also allowed Johnston to score.

Both teams threatened in the sixth, but neither could score. After Rowland walked in the seventh, Cowling set the next three down in order.
