Leola TidwellPublished Wednesday, April 16, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneLeola Tidwell, 78, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Rosston, died Monday, April 7, 1997, in the Riverbluff Nursing Home in Rockford. Born Born March 15, 1919, in Rosston, she was the daughter of Willie and Mae Lillie Bell Gulley. She attended Oak Grove High School and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Rubye Joe of Rockford; six sons, James Marshall, Lonnie Tidwell and Cedric Tidwell, all of Rockford, Alvin Tidwell of LouAnn, Calvin Tidwell of Rosston and Gerald Tidwell of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Eddie Gulley of Muskegon, Mich., Hollis Gulley of Prescott, Aron Gulley and Artis Gulley of Rosston; four sisters, Stella Williams and Feola Gulley, of Rockford, Viola Ross of Hot Springs and Reola Marshall of Rosston; 25 grandchildren; and 38 great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, April 12, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston with Rev. A.L. Harris III officiating.
