Children's Parade Is Set This FridayPublished Wednesday, April 16, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneThere will be a children's mini parade on Friday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate Arkansas Children's Week. Children, staff and volunteers from First Presbyterian Pre-School, Nevada County Day Service and Bright Beginnings Day Care, Prescott and Blevins Head Start and Southwest Educational Co-op 3-5 Program will be in the parade. The parade starts at the corner of East Elm and Third Streets and will end at the steps of the courthouse for a proclamation, Pledge of Allegiance and words of encouragement from local officials. The public is encouraged to view the parade and attend the ceremony. Following the parde, the children will be transported to the National Guard Armory for games and activities.
