Cattle Trailer FoundPublished Wednesday, April 16, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneSharp eyes helped a Nevada County deputy spot a stolen cattle trailer Saturday. According to Jim Westmoreland, criminal investigator with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Prescott Police Department, Deputy Thomas Goad was on routine patrol on April 12, when he spotted a 28-foot blue, triple-axle cattle trailer abandoned at the intersection of Highways 4 and 53 west of Rosston. The trailer was reportedly stolen from the Thomas Munn farm in Rosston on March 11, and was valued at about $4,000. Westmoreland said the recovery of the trailer does not close the case. In fact, he asks anyone who may have seen a vehicle towing the trailer Saturday afternoon or evening to call him at the NCSO, at 887-2616. He said the NCSO is following leads in the case to apprehend whoever may have stolen the trailer. He commended Goad in finding the trailer, saying it was good, heads up policework on Goad's part.
