C.V. `Granny' HubbardPublished Wednesday, April 30, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesC.V. `Granny' Hubbard, 62, died Friday, April 25, 1997, in Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. Born September 3, 1934, in Prescott, she was the daughter of Willie Ed and Alice McCoy Washington. In 1952 she married Lester Livingston, and to this union four chidlren were born. In 1975 she married Nathaniel `Jack' Hubbard who preceded her in death. She was a member of the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gurdon until she made her residence in Arkadelphia and united with the Gennesareth Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Lester Livingston Jr. of Arkadelphia; three daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Texarkana, Shelia Butler of Prescott and Belinda Blue of Riverforest, Ill.; three sisters, Lula Roberts of Gurdon, Georgia Washington of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elizabeth Washington of Inglewood, Calif.; three brothers, Billy Washington of Arkadelphia, W.A. Washington of Rockford, Ill., and Charles Washington of Dallas, Texas; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held at Gennesareth Missionary Baptist Church, Friday, May 2, at 1:00 p.m. in Arkadelphia with Rev. Charles Hood officiating.
