Ella Mae BrooksPublished Wednesday, April 30, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneElla Mae Brooks, 51, of Prescott, died Saturday, April 19, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born March 15, 1946, in Rosston, she was the daughter of Clayborn and Ollie V. McKinney Blake. She a member of New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church where, she served as president of the usher board. She was formerly married to Marcellour Tidwell and to this union one child was born. She later married Cesear Brooks. Survivors include her husband, Cesear MacAuthor Brooks of Prescott; five sons, Kenneth Blake of Dallas, Texas, James Blake, Steve B. Tidwell, Jordan Williamson and Montez Blake, all of Prescott; one daughter, Ruthie Blake Cone; three stepdaughters, Cecila Brooks, Tianna Brooks and Lasandra Brooks, all of Richmond, Calif; three sisters, Ollie Ruth McFadden of Detroit, Mich., Eula Allen of Rosston and Leola Mason of Cleveland, Ohio; and three grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, April 26, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rosston with Rev. Herbert Adams officiating. Burial was in McKinney Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
