Vernell Smith WilsonPublished Wednesday, April 30, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneVernell Smith Wilson, 91, of El Dorado, formerly of Blevins, died Thursday, April 24, 1997, in El Dorado. Born August 23, 1905, in Blevins, she was a housewife and mother, a Baptist and the widow of Owen R. Wilson. She was also preceded in death by three sons and two daughters. Survivors include three daughters, Mary McMillan of Athens, Texas, Bette Wilson of El Dorado and Carolyn Hart of Hope; three sisters, Estelle Brooks, Beatrice Bible and Mary Sue Harris all of Tucson, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, April 26, at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland and Tommy Mellinger officiating.
