Law Day Is ThursdayPublished Wednesday, April 30, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneLaw Day 1997 is Thursday, May 1. Circuit Judge Jim Gunter of Hope has announced a celebration will take place at the Hempstead County Courthouse in Hope from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This year's speaker will be Chief Justice W.H. Arnold of the Arkansas Supreme Court. Judge Gunter acts as Law Day chairman for the Hempstead County Bar Association. The president of the Arkansas Case Coordinator Association, Jackie Ridling, will host the event along with Judge Gunter's staff. Refreshments will be available. The general public is invited.
