Blevins BBQ Scheduled For This SaturdayPublished Wednesday, April 30, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe 11th annual area-wide benefit barbecue for the Arkansas Children's Hospital will be held on Saturday, May 3, at the Blevins fire station. Menu will consist of barbecue beef, pork and chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, dessert and tea. Cost will be $5 for adults and $2.50 for children 12 and under. Carry outs will be available. Serving time will start at 4:30 p.m. This year's entertainment will feature Randy McKinnon and The Bear Creek Boys. Starting at 7:00 p.m. there will be a cake auction. This year's benefit will be in memory of E.J. Hinton, who passed away last June. Mr. Hinton was one of the founders of the benefit. Everyone is invited to come out and support this special event.
