Raymon L. Robinson

Raymon L. Robinson, 63, of Hope died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana after a lengthy illness.

Born March 13, 1934, in Hempstead County, he was the son of the late Ben and Pearl (Prince) Robinson. He was employed by Meyer's Bakery, a veteran and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Robinson of Hope; two sons, Ben L. Robinson of Carrollton, Texas, and Raymon L. Robinson of Rhome, Texas; one daughter, Lynell Faulkner of Hope; two stepsons, Jimmy Smith of Rosston and Walter Smith of Emmet; two stepdaughters, Annette Halcomb of Delight and Susan Dickerson of Hope; one brother, Laymon Robinson of Dickinson, Texas; eight sisters, Mildred Galloway, Irma Viarengo, Ann Butler, Martha Sallee, Deloris Purtle, Doris Jones and Janell Messer, all of Hope, and Vonnie Haltom of Magnolia; and 17 grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, May 2, at Herndon Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Johnny Bailey officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope.
