Cancer Society Chapter Ends Drive

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is finishing the door to door campaign this week. The business compaign continues and some are still working door to door.

There have been some "look-alike" campaigns going on at the same time, according to an ACS news release. The release said it apologizes for any confusion about that.

"If the money is not given to a worker of the ACS or mailed to the office in Little Rock it will not be used in our area," the release states. Your donation can also be sent to ACS, P.O. Box 600, Prescott, AR 17857.

There are companies from Oregon, Kansas and other areas that resemble the American Cancer Society, but they are different and do not benefit the needs here in Nevada County, the release stated.

Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area.
