Tonya Arnold Crowned Miss GMSPublished Wednesday, May 14, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesTonya Arnold, an eighth grade student of Gurdon Middle School, was crowned Miss GMS in a ceremony held on April 26 in the auditorium. She was also selected as Miss Photegenic and waspresented roses. She is the daughter of Karen and Darren Tucker of Gurdon and Jerry Arnold of Hope. She is the granddaughter of Mary Premont and the late Richard Premont of Gurdon and Glen and Martha Roberts of Hope. Candis Buck was selected as first runner-up and Kathy Gober was selected second runner-up. Tonya was crowned by last year's Miss GMS, Racheal Webb. Entertainment for the evening was by Terry Hughes.
