Davis and Hunter loaded the bases as all walked. A wild pitch saw Blair finish the route.

Harrison and Thompson each grounded out, but Kirk's single brought Davis and Hunter in.

Rowland was hit by a pitch, and the second wild throw of the inning let Kirk score. Kirk was attempting to steal third when the throw went awry, allowing him to go home.

Down, but not out, the Wolves fought back. Johnston reached on an error to start the fourth for Prescott. Stockton then singled. Williams grounded out, but drove Johnston in. Cowling and Yates went down on strikes to stop the scoring.

Neither team was able to score in the firth, though both were able to get runners on board.

In fact, the Wolves left the bases loaded as Stockton grounded out with two down.

The Bearcats fired their final offensive shot in the top of the sixth, again scoring with two out.

Harrison and Thompson had both fanned, giving the impression the inning could be an easy one. However, Kirk followed with a single and Rowland walked.

Wright connected with a one-bagger to drive Kirk home. DePriest walked to make it interesting, but Blair flied out to end Mena's scoring.

Prescott added a run in the bottom of the frame, starting with Williams belting a double. Jones singled and Jernigan walked to fill the bags, but Formby grounded out to stop the situation.

Four 'Cats came to the plate, one singled, but the others were returned to their litter box.

Knowing it was all or nothing, the Wolves began their offensive onslaught.

Johnston got hold of one for a triple to start the bottom of the seventh, scoring on Stockton's single.

Williams walked in front of Cowling being fanned. Yates smacked a twin-bagger to bring Stockton in. Webb was given an intentional walk to load the bases.

Jones went down on strikes, but Jernigan singled Williams and Duke, who ran for Yates, in.

The contest ended when Formby belted a single to bring Webb across and give Prescott a hard fought 11-10 win.

TRUMANN 11

PRESCOTT 7

Prescott left everything it had on the field against the Wildcats of Trumann in the semi-finals Thursday, but fell short 11-7.

Formby and Cowling were the hurlers the Wolves threw at Trumann, but these two warriors had given their all in the first two games and couldn't stop the Wildcats's bats.

Doke and Box combined for the win for the 'Cats.

The 'Cats opened with a pair of ground outs. Box walked and scored when Taylor reached on an error. The third grounder of the frame ended it.

Prescott blasted the 'Cat pitching for three in the bottom of the first.

Johnston reached on an error, but Stockton grounded into a 6-4-3 twin-killing.

Williams and Yates singled, with Webb walking. Williams was replaced on the base path by Fountain. He and Yates scored when Jones belted a single.

Cowling followed with a one-bagger to being Webb home. The inning ended when Hammrick hit into a fielder's choice.

It was three up and three down for the 'Cats in the second, but the Wolves offense had been quelled as well.

Stockton was left after being issued a walk.

Trumann cut the lead to 3-2 with a run in the top of the third. Gairham and Doke singled, with Gairham coming in on Doke's single.

A single by Jones was Prescott's only offense in the bottom of the inning.

The Wildcats took the lead with four runs in the fourth.

Hammons opened with a walk, but Bolin and Bishop went down. An error let Adams reach and Hammons score.

Craig then singled, but Gairham belted a bases-clearing triple. The second error of the inning let Gairham score and Doke reach safely. Box grounded out to end the assault.

It was quiet for Prescott in the bottom of the inning as three went up and all returned.

But, Trumann had a silent fifth, with no 'Cat nearing any base.

Aside from a Williams single, Prescott did likewise.

A trio of 'Cats were retired in order in the top of the sixth, with two being fanned.

The Wolves took their final lead of the contest with four runs in the bottom of the inning.

Jones started with a single, followed by Cowling getting a free ride. Formby drove Jones in with his single, before Jernigan sacrificed himself for Cowling.

An error let Johnston reach and Formby complete the circuit. Stockton grounded out, but Williams reached on an error to score Johnston. Yates was fanned to end the inning.

The 'Cats sent five runners to touch them all in the top of the seventh.

The inning began with Gairham singling. Doke and Box walked to load the bases, before Taylor flied out. Hammons laid down a suicide squeeze to bring Gairham in, with Doke scoring on a wild pitch.

Bolin grounded out, scoring Box. Bishop then walked, while Adams reached on an error. This error allowed Hammons and Bishop to score. The inning ended with Craig being fanned.

Webb, Jones and Cowling went to the plate for Prescott in the bottom of the seventh, and all were retired by way of strikes.
