Nevada's K-2 Students Earned Yearly Awards

Kindergarten through second grade at Nevada Elementary School received yearly awards at the end of the school year. Recepients of these awards are listed below by class.

Jan Hastings' kindergarten class: A.J. Williams, computer award; Dustin Cooley, reading and math award; Cassady Atkins, Aeron Boyd, Candace Sanders, Brittney Aulds, Bradley Brown, Dustin Cooley and Wade Cross, medal of honor awards; and Alex Campbell, Natasha Farrer, Anika Snider, J.J. Williams, good behavior award.

Mendy Wright's kindergarten class: Ashley Lowe, reading and math award; Heather Zelonis, reading award; Ashley Lowe, Heather Zelonis, Summer Reardon, Andrew Landry, Shelbye Yarbrough and Casey Purtle, medal of honor awards; and Rachel Lorance, Brittany Bourgeois, good behavior awards.

Dana Cox's kindergarten class received various awards such as reading and math in computer, good behavior and medal of honor: Amanda Robertson, Joanna Loe, Justin Jackson, Ladamian Gulley, Cameron Clark, Matt Lyons, Beca Hicks, Dalton Stewart, Zach Cross, Russell Lorance, Ashley Gulley, Maegan Gentry, Shelby Stultz, Roman Epps and Destiny Moten.

Dee Godwin's first grade class: medal of honor -- Niki Barham, Shantal Henry, Corine Holcomb, Cameloia Ingram, Dianna Shewbirt and Damonica Watts; good behavior -- Ashley Hall; perfect attendance -- Tiffany Gilbert, Gregory Gulley and Damonica Watts; computer awards in reading and math -- Corinne Holcomb.

Yearly awards for Rita Briner's first grade class: Richard Johnson, Cassie Daniel, Haven Drake, Fredericka Henry, Reginald McClendon, Brian Aulds, Chasity Dorman, Veronica Moss, Nicki Jordan, Tony Marsh and Deveon Zachery.

The type of awards that second graders received were reading and math in computer, perfect attendance, medal of honor and good behavior.

Gloria Elliott's second grade class: Whitney Fort, Orin Hampton, Michael Delgado, Bryan Thomas, Dominique Radford, Dequanna Smith, Cody Harding, Samantha Loe, Asha Jones, Amber Baker and Amy Morman.

Sue Phillips' second grade class: Adrienne Beard, Emily Biddle, Joshua Clifton, Stormy Dorman, Zane Harding, Cheryl Harrison, Miquel Hopson, Kelsey Hopkins, Whitney Spell and Jamia Yarbrough.
