Rupert A. Stuart

Rupert A. Stuart, 80, of Fayetteville died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 5, 1916, at Gurdon. He was the son of Rupert A. and Elma Agee Stuart. He earned his BSBA from the University of Texas and his law degree from Loyola University of the South. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Delta Theta Phi law fraternity international, University of Texas Longhorn Letterman Club, the American Association of Attorney - Certified Public Accountants, and First United Presbyterian Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Stuart of the home; Three daughters, Dr. Kathryn Van Wormer of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Flora Templeton Stuart of Bowling Green, Ky., and Alison Stuart of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Rev. Elizabeth S. Lizarraga of Fayetteville; a stepson, Jules B. Stuart of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; and one stepgrandson.

Graveside services are today, Wednesday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon. Arrangements were by Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.
