Center OpensPublished Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesA new cancer research laboratory in honor of George Torgerson was dedicated Friday, June 6. Torgerson is the late husband of Betty Torgerson of Gurdon. Dr. Paul Gardner was coordinator of the dedication in the University of Arkansas Medical Science Building in Little Rock. All new equipment with the latest technology for cancer research is housed in the laboratory. The honor was made possible by the Horace Cabe Foundation.
