The 57th Arkansas Boys State has elected Heath Hanson of Cabot as its governor.

The son of Tony and Cher Hanson and a senior at Cabot High School, he was elected in a vote of the 860 delegates attending the annual session on self-government June 1-6 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Ryan David Cox of Gurdon was elected to City Council to a town called Rorex in Huckabee County. Zach Gray Gilbert of Okolona was elected as Justice of the Peace to Banner County where Presson is county.

Towns and counties in these electons are fictitious.

Boys State concluded its week-long encampment with a visit to the state Capitol in Little Rock Friday, June 6.
