College NewsPublished Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesMark Thomas Edds of Gurdon graduated with cum laude honors from Ouachita Baptist University May 17. Other OBU graduates from Gurdon were John Raymond Ross with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and ministry-family life Christian counseling; Jason Clark Whitlock with a bachelor of arts degree in general business; and Mark Thomas Edds with a bachelor of science degree in biology. OBU graduated a total of 251 students with bachelor degrees. Cary Goza of Gurdon graduated from Garland County Community College Friday, May 16. He received an associate degree in science.
