Rev. T.C. Pearson, 68, of Prescott died June 3, 1997.

Born December 1, 1926, he was the son of the late Gladys and Joshua Person. He was reared by the late Wilson and Helen Martin in the Oak Grove community. A Baptist, he was pastor of Sweet Home Baptist Church near Prescott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jarva Mae Martin Pearson. In 1996 he married Doris Todd.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Todd Pearson of Prescott; four sons, Torrence Clyde Pearson of Hawaii, Lee Andrew Pearson of Magnolia, Ronald Edward Pearson of Willisville and Leonard Ray Pearson of Curtis; two daughters, Celia Y. Pearson of Prescott and Velma D. Ingram of Waterloo; three brothers, Earl Pearson of Bradley, Joe Louis Washington of Houston, Texas and Richard E. Washington of South Carolina; four sisters, Arlean Hawthrone, Bettie Watts and Murlean Williams of Houston, Texas, and Dorthy Manning of Aurora, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church on Moores Highway near Prescott. Arangements were by Smith Funeral Home. Interment was in Sweet Home Cemetery.
