Iris RossPublished Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneIris Ross, 95, of Hope died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at Heather Manor South Nursing Home in Hope. Born February 18, 1902, in DeAnn to John and Mary Etta Bearden Putman, she was a housewife and mother, and a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church of Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Ross; one son, John Ross; and one daughter, Violet Brooks. Survivors include two sons, Harrison Ross of Hope and Dr. Delwin Ross of Magnolia; one daughter, Helen Levering of Sante Clemente, Calif.; ten grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were scheduled for today (Wednesday), June 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel in Hope with Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Hope.
