Phronia A. BarhamPublished Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayunePhronia A. Barham, 95, of Emmet died Thursday, June 5, 1997, at Pinehope Nursing Home in Hope. Born October 11, 1901, to Henry and Exa Gibbons Arterbury in Nevada County, she was a homemaker and a mother, and a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Barham, and two sons, Herman Barham and Lamon Huey Barham. Survivors include one son, John William Barham of Emmet; three daughters, Mrs. Neoma Ward and Mrs. Vivian Alford, both of Hope and Mrs. Rosa Nell Whatley of DeAnn; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, June 7, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel in Hope. Burial was in Forrest Hill Cemetery in Nevada County. Revs. Milton Langston, Ricky Burke and Rodney Langston officiated.
