HSU Plans CampPublished Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneA "Nutt'in but Net" basketball shooting clinic will be held at the Wells Center on the campus of Henderson State University Saturday, June 14. The clinic is open to boys and girls ages six through 18. Cost of the clinic is $20 per person. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Campers, then, should be at the Wells Center by 8:30 a.m. for registration, payment and instruction. All participating will receive a certificate and instructional packet at the end of the session. Those interested need to bring shoes, workout clothes and a positive attitude. The camp will be taught by Dennis Nutt, who spent five years in professional basketball with the Dallas Mavericks. Nutt also played for Seattle Supersonic Coach George Karl in Real Madrid, Spain and for the western division champion Lacrosse Catbirds in the Continental Basketball Association. Nutt is the current assistant coach at Arkansas State University, and will be assisted in the clinic by ASU assistant coach Mark Givens.
