Dougan Family Meets

The annual Dougan reunion was held at the Citizens National Bank farmhouse on Saturday, June 7.

Those present were Emma Formby and Joe and Nell Formby of Vider, Texas; Alice Mae Dougan Leack, who traveled the greatest distance, from Pheonix, Ariz.; Kim Dougan of Allen, Texas; Mrs. Perry (Mollie) Dougan, the oldest Dougan at 87 years, from Monroe, La.; Birdie Hathcoat and Pete McKin of Curtis; Jean Jones of Hope; Roberta Dougan; Janice, Kristopher, and Tiffany Scott; Ora Dougan Avery; George Dougan; Helen Dougan Morris; Jill and Kenny McClure; Eunnie and Chester May, and their daughter, Sandra May, of Hope and their granddaughter of Ashdown; Beatrice Dougan and her children, Richard and Marilyn Dougan; Anita Foster; Brandie and Britney Helmick; Donnie and Betty Dougan and their grandchild; Mrs. Floyd Dougan and children; Bertha Dougan; Rodney Dougan and his daughter, Shala Hatfield; Cheryl Dougan; Janet and Jason Dougan; Steve and Lori Nivens; Debbie, Mary, Ashley, and Crystal Bobo; Shaun Dougan; Christian Taylor; Karen Dougan; Janis Kerpoes; J.C. and Alice; and Bill Hoover. All of the above are from Hope, Emmet, Blevins or Presott. Also attending were Waymon Dougan and Benny Dougan; Bill (William) Dougan and his wife.

After a business meeting with the heads of the family, there was much food served by the many good Dougan cooks. Plans were made for the Dougan reunion in June at the same place and time in 1998.
