4-H Team Does WellPublished Wednesday, June 25, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesClark County Wildlife Habitat Team represented the county well at the state contest. Dale Garlin, the only junior team member, participated as an individual. He was the high point junior over all. The Clark County senior team members were Trey Burchfield, Adam Clark and Cameron Coston. This team placed third place overall. The Clark County 4-H members tested on Wildlife Food Identification, Aerial Photo Interpretation, Wildlife Management Practices, Rural Management Plans and Urban Management plans. The coaches for this team volunteered their time to assist the 4- H members in learning the required skills to compete on the state level. The coaches were Craig L. Viscardis, Amy Hood and Ronnie Ritter, all employees of International Paper. Anyone interested in joining a 4-H Club should contact the local Extension office at 246-2281.
