Jim WilliamsPublished Wednesday, June 25, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesJim Williams, 86, of Curtis died Thursday, June 19, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born February 20, 1911, in Brown, Texas, the son of the late Frank and Effie Williams. He was a farmer and a member of Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. Survivors include his wife, Ebbie Bearden Williams; two daughters, Carol Byers of Little Rock and Peggy Smiley of Texas; four grandchildern; and eight great grandchildren. Graveside services were Saturday, June 21, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Turner officiating, under the directions of Murry- Ruggles Funeral Home.
