School NewsPublished Wednesday, June 25, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayunePrescott Elementary Students participated in the President's Physical Fitness tests. To achieve recognition, for the National Fitness award students had to score above the 50th perentile in five areas of physical fitness. The students who placed in the 75th percentile received the President's Physical Fitness Award. These students received red or blue patches indicating the president's or national level of fitness. Kindergarten students are not elgible for either of the above awards. The kindergarten students took part in the activities for physical fitness, and those students who make an outstanding effort were recognized and given a coupon for an ice cream at the Sonic.
